FAQ
Resin Letters:
Please note the letters F and P are not free standing. They will have to be supported against something.
We can create a base if you would like it to be free-standing. Bases are not attached to other letters. It is only included for the P and F.
Our letter molds are approximately 5” in height. The height can vary for different letters due to their shapes.
We are able to preserve flowers whole as long as they are medium sized. Larger flowers do not fit in the mold, we can use petals from them. Bubbles may be seen in letters as they are made upside down in the mold.
No layout option is provided for letters, you are welcome to provide an idea of what you’d like at the time of booking/flower drop off in writing through email.
Bookings:
When should I book by?
Please reach out to us as soon as possible as we take on a limited number of bouquets monthly.
Prior to your event is ideal so that we can choose which items you’d like to order and confirm the order through a deposit. Order is not confirmed till deposit is received.
How do I place my order?
Orders can be placed through our Flower Preservation Order Form. Please ensure to read through it fully and fill out in as much detail as possible.
All inquiries require a valid email address and communication is through email only.

All orders must be placed through our order form.
How do payments work?
We accept e-transfers to resinatebyseronia@gmail.com
A 50% deposit is placed to confirm the order and then the outstanding balance is due at layout approval or before resin pouring.
Resin pouring is started once the complete payment has been received.
How should I care for my flowers before the drop off date?
Please try to avoid touching the flowers especially the petals as much as possible and also cut the bottom of the stems and place them in water in a vase. Store in a cool area but not in the refrigerator with food as it emits gas that can make the flowers wilt/brown.
Do not cover with plastic or bring in a plastic bag when dropping off. Flowers can be brought in hand and we have vases to place them into.
When should I drop off my bouquet?
We suggest to drop off your bouquet/flowers within 4 days of your event to make sure that they are fresh and we can preserve the best blooms this way. We will not be accepting browning/wilted/rotting flowers after 4 days. Please make sure to delegate drop off within the 4 days.
Process:
How long does the process take?
It can take around 6 months to 1 year to complete your order. It depends on the order size and the types of flowers we will be working with. Estimation of completion can change due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather (temperature and humidity levels impact resin pours), re-doing top coats, re-assembling flowers and cure times.
Please note the process for flower preservation is long and delicate. Unfortunately we can not rush the process.
We thank everyone for their patience while we work on their orders.
What happens to the parts of my bouquet that you do not use?
We choose the best blooms and dry them for your order. We only dry what is needed as per the order size. The remainder of the bouquet is recycled. If you would like us to store the rest of your bouquet and air dry it, we charge a $50 storage fee. This will be returned at pick up.
Will the flowers remain the same colour?
The colour of the flowers will change though the drying process. Usually red flowers take on more of a burgundy hue and white flowers can become more cream or yellow or yellow-green or rosy as they dry. Brighter coloured flowers like yellow, blue, purple and hot pink preserve very close in colour, there may just be a slight difference. Dark pink flowers can turn more so purple in colour. Light pink flowers which are popular can take on more of a purple hue.
Please check out our flowers fresh vs. dried highlight on instagram for a visual of how flowers can look after the drying process.
We can not guarantee that flowers will dry the same colour as when they are fresh. Sometimes the same fresh looking flowers still have differences in colour when dried.
Do the flowers have to be fresh?
The flowers do not have to be fresh. We can also preserve air dried flowers and pressed flowers depending on their condition. Please reach out to us and send pictures of the flowers to make sure we are able to preserve them.
Flowers with mould will not be accepted as we are unable to cast them.
We also cast silk and wood flowers.
Are there any types of flowers that you are unable to preserve?
We are not able to cast succulents as they are very moist and water based. We can find similar looking faux plants to add on at an additional cost. Berries can be dried but they turn black and reduce in size.
Lilies do not dry the best due to their moist centre, but we can always see how they dry and then decide if we’d like to use them.
Orchids tend to have more transparent spots on them as they have very thin petals. Transparent spots are these clear looking spots that can appear on flowers once they are cast in resin.
Chrysanthemums are delicate and fall apart after the drying process. Some can be reconstructed and others that are really delicate we will not be able to put them back together.
Does the resin turn amber over time?
We use a high quality resin with UV inhibitors that help to delay ambering. Aftercare such as displaying resin items away from direct sunlight and heat sources such as the fireplace mantle helps to delay ambering as well.
All resin yellows over time.
What are transparent spots?
Depending on the handling of the flowers, they can get bruised or the oils from hands on the petals can lead to them developing transparent spots in the resin and it is unavoidable. Please try to avoid touching the petals of the flowers when you are able to.
Will the colour of the flowers fade in resin?
The colour of flowers can fade over time in resin, this can be delayed by displaying your pieces away from direct sunlight.
Shipping:
Are you taking Canada-wide or international orders?
We hope to one day be able to do Canada-wide. Unfortunately due to shipping restrictions we are unable to do international orders.
We are currently taking local orders that can be dropped off curbside to our location in Brampton, Ontario.
Do you offer shipping?
Yes! We can safely ship your order to you at an additional cost.
Functional Pieces:
Can coasters and trays be used for hot and cold cups?
Our trays and coasters are fully functional pieces. They are coated with a heat resistant resin so hot mugs and cups can be used on them. Please keep in mind, wear and tear will show over time.
Are the items food safe?
Although we use a food safe resin, we DO NOT recommend placing any food items or drinkable liquids directly in contact with the resin items. Please place a parchment paper or some sort of barrier between food and the resin items if using it to serve food.
Please feel free to email us or reach out to us on instagram if you have any other questions.
